What Is the Gospel Truth?

Gospel Truth, as on our page How-To-Know-God, may be summarised below as:

That the "the Bible alone" is the source of Biblical truth,
"Faith alone" is mans means of justification before God,
"Grace alone," not human merit, is the reason for man’s salvation,
and "Christ alone" is the provider of that salvation.

However, there are many organizations in the Western World today, that profess to be Christian,
but deny our only Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, as the means of Salvation.
Even within these organizations and the individuals who compose them, ideas differ very dramatically.

The early Christian Fathers, in their many writings, confirmed the above "summary of the Gospel".
The churches and people, of the Reformation, confirmed the above "summary of the Gospel".

But, below are "just some of the countless errors", that are of the false gospels (Jesus plus gospels):

Below, are some of the "religious ideas" that are "counterfeit gospels":

The Gospel is not "Trust Jesus."
The Gospel is not "You must be baptised in the Name of Jesus."
The Gospel is not "Daily readings from Matthew, Mark, Luke and John."
The Gospel is not "You must be filled with the Holy Spirit."

and:

The Gospel is not "You must be born again."
The Gospel is not "You can perform miracles."
The Gospel is not "You must belong to our church, to achieve eternal life."
The Gospel is not "You must keep the Law (of Moses)."
and etc.

Now, the above are "not the Gospel", but a few of the above are commands taken from Scripture,
but "none of them are the Gospel".

Avoid any place, that preaches a counterfeit gospel; commonly called "Jesus plus gospel"

The Gospel is not "You must draw nigh unto God." 
The Gospel is not "You must be baptized in the Holy Spirit."
The Gospel is not "You must follow the example Jesus set, for you to reach Heaven."
The Gospel is not "You must speak in tongues."

The Gospel is not "You must decide for Christ."
The Gospel is not "You must call Jesus by the original Hebrew name, Yeshua."
The Gospel is not "You must believe in our very own church apostle for salvation."
The Gospel is not "Make Jesus Lord of your life."

Now, the above are "not the Gospel", but a few of the above are commands taken from Scripture,

The true and only Gospel of Jesus Christ is:

The Apostle Paul states in 1st Corinthians Chapter 15, Verses 1 to 4:

Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the Gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.  For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.

The above, is the True Gospel, direct from the Scripture!

Therefore:

A sinner receives right standing before God, by having Christ’s righteousness reckoned to his account,
through believing in the "person and work of Christ Jesus."
